President' Corner
Hello All,
I am excited and ready for our fly-in this month at Gainesville, TX. This year marks our 63 annual fly-in and we expect a good turnout. Go to our Web page at www.texasantiqueairplane.com to see all the details.
This has been a very busy few weeks for me, our August meeting at Jim Austin's hangar for pancakes and brunch was fun with about 40 members and guests, including three new members, attended the national Antique fly-in at Blakesburg, Iowa. I drove up this year and delivered my Warner engine at Creve Coeur airport in Saint Louis for a major and went to Toronto for a few days.
The Fly in at Blakesburg was great as usual with many award winning aircraft in attendance. We had 14 members on the library steps for the voting on the Chapter choice airplane, we awarded the chapter choice plaque to Chris Riedner for his Interstate Cadet NC37301.

Bruce Putney is doing a great job of planning for our Fall Fly-in. Mark the dates on your calendar, Sep 19-20, at Gainesville Airport. We are still needing volunteers, so help make this year a great one. helping. Let Bruce know you want to help. His phone number is 817-673-1418 and his E-mail is bruce0739@att.net
See you all on the 19 th and 20 th.
Terry
About Us
The Texas Chapter of the Antique Airplane Association is incorporated in the State of Texas as a non-profit corporation. We meet each month for a social gathering at members' locations and provide a forum for those who love old planes. We also hold a Fly-In on the second Friday and Saturday in October each year, which the public and other aviation enthusiasts can attend. We are dedicated to "Keep the Antiques Flying."
