President's Corner

Hello All,

Well, no news from last month’s meeting due to the weather cancellation but I’m looking forward to our May meeting.

Our next meeting will be on the 18th of May at Greenville, Texas for their Barnstormer Fly in. We will have a hangar to meet in and lunch can be purchased from food trucks at the event, so no need to bring pot luck. The event starts at 9AM and ends at 2PM so come early. We will have a quick meeting at noon and then enjoy the festivities. I hope some of our members will fly in.

The Commemorative Air Force will have these aircraft on display and will be giving rides.

This year our Fall Festival of Flight will be on the 21st of September. Bruce Putney will again be the fly in chairman, thanks Bruce. We will soon start planning the event so watch for updates. Please contact Bruce if you can volunteer to help with the FALL Festival of Flight this year. His E mail is Bruce0739@att.net.

FLY SAFE! Terry

61th Annual Fly-In News

The 61st Fall fly in was a huge success with about eighty aircraft flying in to Gainesville, new members joining the chapter and lots of food and friends attending. We will soon begin to plan for our 62th fly in next year.  Come back to this site for more information as we work for a great 62nd “FALL FESTIVAL of FLIGHT”.

About Us

The Texas Chapter of the Antique Airplane Association is incorporated in the State of Texas as a non-profit corporation. We meet each month for a social gathering at members' locations and provide a forum for those who love old planes. We also hold a Fly-In on the second Friday and Saturday in October each year, which the public and other aviation enthusiasts can attend. We are dedicated to "Keep the Antiques Flying."
